This policy explains how Elimu Digital LLC ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on litigantsplaybook.co.uk and in our member area. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in the same way. They help a website work, keep you signed in, remember your choices and measure how the site is used. In this policy, "cookies" includes these similar technologies.
2. How we use cookies
- Strictly necessary cookies β needed for the site and member area to work, for example to keep you logged in, protect against fraud and abuse, and process sign-ups and checkout. The service cannot work without them, so the law does not require consent for them.
- Functionality cookies β help pages display consistently. They do not track you.
- Analytics cookies β provided by our course platform. We use them only to collect statistics about how our site and lessons are used, so that we can improve the site and our guides. We do not use them for advertising, to build marketing profiles or to follow you across other websites.
- Marketing cookies β we do not use advertising or marketing tracking cookies. If we ever add them, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
Why there is no cookie banner. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025) does not require consent for cookies that are strictly necessary, that help a website display or work properly, or that are used only to collect statistics to improve the service β provided we explain them clearly and give you a simple way to object. This policy is that explanation, and section 4 explains how to object.

The analytics tool also keeps a short queue of usage events in your browser's local storage until they are sent.
We checked these names and durations in October 2026. Our platform may change them, and we review this list whenever we update this policy.
4. How to object to analytics or manage cookies
You can object to analytics cookies at any time. Doing so should not affect your access to the site or your courses.
- Email us at support@litigantsplaybook.co.uk with "Cookie objection" in the subject line. We will record your objection, confirm the simplest steps for your browser and device, and answer any questions.
- Block or delete them yourself β delete the cookies listed above that start with rl_, or turn on your browser's tracking protection (or use a tracker-blocking extension), which stops the analytics from running.
You can also block or delete all cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you block cookies for a single website. If you block strictly necessary cookies, signing in and parts of the member area may stop working. The ICO's guide to cookies explains how to control them.
5. Changes
We may update this policy, and the version date at the end will change when we do.
